  • These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement made between you (“the client”), whether personally or on behalf of an entity (“you”), and Blue Oak Recording, Inc. doing business as Blue Oak Mastering ("BOM," “we,” “us,” or “our”), concerning your access to and use of blueoakmastering.com as well as any other media form, media channel, mobile website, or mobile application related, linked, or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, the “Site”). We are registered in California, United States, and have our registered office in Los Angeles.

By accessing the Site and engaging our mastering services, you agree that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms of Service. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE TERMS, THEN YOU ARE EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED FROM USING OUR SERVICES AND YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY.

  • We reserve the right to make changes or modifications to these Terms at any time. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date of these Terms. Please ensure that you check these Terms every time you engage our services so that you understand the applicable terms.

  • Our mastering services are available to clients who are at least 18 years old. By using our services, you confirm that you are of legal age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.

  • All mastering work created by Blue Oak Mastering is our proprietary work. Upon payment in full, ownership of the final mastered audio files will be transferred to the client. However, Blue Oak Mastering retains the right to use the mastered material, including album art and release information, for marketing, promotional purposes, and portfolio representation unless otherwise agreed in writing. Credits for mastering services must be provided in any public release or distribution of the project.

  • Credits for our mastering services should be provided as follows:

Mastered by Adam “Yukon” Harr at Blue Oak Mastering in Los Angeles, Ca.

This attribution should be included on all relevant platforms and databases, including but not limited to AllMusic, Discogs, Muso.ai, and any other platforms where the project is listed or distributed. Proper crediting is required for both physical and digital releases.

  • By engaging our services, you represent that:

    • All information you provide will be true, accurate, and complete.

    • You will maintain the accuracy of such information.

    • You have the authority to engage our services and share the materials for mastering.

  • You agree to provide all necessary materials in the correct format and with the required permissions for mastering. Blue Oak Mastering is not responsible for any delays caused by the failure to provide the necessary assets or permissions.

  • Payment for our mastering services must be made in full within the time frame specified on your invoice. Until full payment has been received, Blue Oak Mastering retains full ownership and rights to the mastered product. This includes the right to withhold the final mastered files from distribution or release.

Should the client release the mastered product before the invoice has been paid in full or before reaching terms with us, this will be considered a breach of these Terms of Service, and Blue Oak Mastering reserves the right to pursue legal action or charge additional fees.

  • Due to the nature of our mastering services, all sales are final. Once work has begun on your project, no refunds will be issued. This is because mastering is a time-intensive process, and our team dedicates expertise and resources to each project, regardless of the final usage.

  • You may not:

    • Use our services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

    • Distribute, sell, or exploit our proprietary content or services without permission.

    • Circumvent security measures or interfere with the proper operation of our services.

    • Clients are not permitted to claim credit for the mastering services or any other work provided by Blue Oak Mastering.

Our liability for any claim arising out of the delivery of services is limited to the amount you paid for the service.
